... There are three rodeos in Logan, and apparently we went to a different one last year, and apparently this one was more popular. So we had to look for a seat for forever but we actually got pretty good ones in the end.
This was Afton's first Rodeo! Since she loves puppy's so much we thought she might like the horses. She had fun and was really good the whole time, although we didn't stay for the whole thing, we decided to leave at 10:30.
So my picture taking skills aren't the best (especially at night), but here are a few from the events on Friday.
The Highlight of the evening was the Priefert Percherons. The World's Tallest Hitch. These horses were HUGE! And so amazing. My pics weren't very good cause it was getting dark.
They would turn a 90 degree angle without moving the wagon at all by the guy just giving them commands. It was pretty darn cool.
This video is of them making a tight circle with the wagon (the second half of the circle is the best)
Then a guy came out riding them without the wagon- he was standing on the back two horses. I didn't get good pics of that so go here to see it.
And of course, here's the real star...
Oh, and The next Day, we played with Nettie and Joel (who came to visit Tim and Brandi), Tim and Brandi and Brandi's mom and brother. It was so fun (Nettie has some good pics on her blog). We went and saw Julie and Julia with them. It was a really good movie, I loved it. Then we had a BBQ at Tim and Brandi's house. They are always so nice.
AND........ Lexie is Coming HOME!!!!!!! We can't wait to be able to play with Aunt Lex next Sunday!!! Congrats to her and her team at the Finals. They got 5th place with a 96.5. Way to Go Lex!!! We are so proud!!
Phew, anyway, Sorry this one as so wordy, I know you'd rather see pictures of Afton instead of reading my writing but as Lexie says: whatev bev
