A while ago (quite a while ago actually, I'm just behind) we went to Mason's fifth birthday party. It was so fun. Marissa threw a great pirates party.
Tyson had been working on this bug cage for Mason for a while since Mason LOVES bugs. I thought it was pretty great.
For the "door" he had me sew two long strips of magnets into the mesh.
He put two mantis' in there for Mason. Then they caught grasshoppers and fed them to the mantis...boys.
Marissa made this great pirate ship cake. It was so cool. The candles were on the sides like cannons.
stupidly, I don't have a picture of the actual birthday boy. I only had time to take a few pictures. But I did get one quick shot of Afton.

awh... wish we could've been there. looks way fun! i read all of the above posts too, and it all looks so fun! i looove afton's pigtails. she's so cute!!
